Robert Douglas Chudomelka, age 53, of Rapid City , MI passed away in a car accident in Alden, Mi. on Thursday afternoon, August 21, 2025. His sudden passing has left a void in the heart of many who loved him. Rob is survived by his loving fiancée (clw) , Natalie Jorae, parents, Bob (Kris) Chudomelka and Ann Whitlock (David Peck), sister Jennifer (Nels) Giden, children Jordyn (Eric) Jaynes, Drayko Chudomelka, Shailie Chudomelka and grandchildren Ellie, Holly and Maci Jaynes. Rob was born March 2, 1972, and was raised in Moses Lake, WA. He graduated from Moses Lake High School and attended Big Bend College of Moses Lake, Washington. He enlisted in the United States Marines and was extremely proud to be a Marine and to serve his country. After the military, Rob started building custom homes. Rob was an amazing builder and framing was his specialty, thus Unique Builders was born. His local carpentry projects are a testament to his skills. Rob traveled across country to work on a large development in Torch Lake, MI. There he met his beloved Natalie. They were soon engaged, and he was welcomed into the Jorae family with open arms. Pat (Sherry) Jorae, Becky (Don) Gouin and Danny all loved Rob very dearly. Rob’s favorite past time was restoring OBS (Old Body Style) Ford Trucks back to their glory. He had a particular passion for the 1994-95 7.3 Powerstrokes. Rob was known as the hardest working man. He was relentless. He was a man of many talents and had a passion for learning . There was nothing that Rob could not fix or figure out. From sunset to sundown, he was either building homes, restoring OBS Fords or doing his honey do lists . Rob was proud to be a Christian and loved Jesus dearly. He was known for his professionalism, compassion and generosity. We know that he was a man of God and that his beautiful soul resides in God’s glorious heaven with those who have passed before him. Someday we will all meet up with Rob in God’s heaven too. Rest in peace dearest Rob, our love goes with you and you will be sorely missed. The Jorae family would like to give a special thank you to Rob's friends for being there for him . John Scott who helped Rob with his Ford collection and was a huge help to our family and continues to help after Rob's passing. Tom Reed who was always there to lend an ear and truck advice . A Celebration of Life will be held in Moses Lake, Washington, on October 4. Another memorial will be planned at a later date this fall at one of Rob's favorite places at the Sleeping Bear Dunes Pierce Stocking Outlook.
