Logan Anthony Thomas, age 29, of Williamsburg, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Logan was born December 6, 1992, in Traverse City, Michigan. He was a fun and loving little boy. He attended elementary school at Glenn Loomis Elementary and graduated from Traverse City West Senior High School in 2011. At the start of his senior year, he had a seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. Despite the ensuing trials caused from it, he always made sure those around him were happy. Logan chose to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called to serve in the Farmington, New Mexico mission. He served diligently and received an honorable release. The people of New Mexico held a special place in his heart. After his mission he decided to continue his education at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg. He loved to travel and to take road trips with his family. He spent time in many different places around the US. He had visited 38 of the 50 states. Logan was the most loving, kind, selfless, hardworking, and devoted young man. He was passionate about life. His smile would light the room in the darkest of times. He was the greatest big brother, son, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend anyone could ask for. He was willing to do anything for those he loved and wanted them to be happy and feel loved. Logan had a strong testimony of restoration of the Lord’s church and knew of the living reality of God the Father and Jesus Christ. He was true and faithful to that testimony. Logan is survived by his father, Troy A Thomas, his mother, J. Lynn (Jeff) Laskey; siblings: Ashley (Isaac) McKean, their children, Cannon, Millie; Lauren Thomas, Kendra (Dalley) Palmer; aunts and uncles: Doug (Tonya) Thomas of Williamsburg, MI., Briant (Susan) Thomas of Traverse City, MI., Mellisa (Randy) Thomas of Williamsburg, MI., Loni (Nathan) Regier of Traverse City, MI., Reagan (John) Van Haaren of Kingsley, MI., Sawyer (Emily) Hentschel of Traverse City, MI., cousins: Emily (Brandon) Luck, Casandra Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Hayden Thomas, Callie Thomas, Ella Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Ethan Hentschel, Sunny Van Haaren, Lucian Hentschel, Monique Regier, Jasper Hentschel, Athena Hentschel. Logan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather and an uncle. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Traverse City, Michigan at 4:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the church.
