On Saturday, September 9, 2023, this world lost a very special lady and her son unexpectedly, Erica Lynn Rogers and Jasper Ray, they have gone to be with our Lord. Jasper Ray the son of Rock Edward Pelon II and Erica Lynn Rogers; brother of Zander Rogers; grandson of John and Brenda Rogers, and Andrew and Vickie Graham. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jasper was already loved so much. Erica Lynn Rogers was born on February 21, 1985, in Traverse City. She was raised in Kalkaska, Erica attended Fitch’s School of Dance for seven years. She started nursing school. Erica became a mother in 2012 to Zander, and he was her greatest enjoyment in life. One of her favorite things was cheering on her son at his sporting events. Erica was his biggest fan. She was a selfless, giving and considerate person. Erica was always willing to go out of her way to ease a bad day. She was as stubborn as she was kind, determined to do it on her own. Erica had the prettiest smile. She was always the life of the party, made everyone laugh. She liked to shop. Erica loved her shoes, hats, and purses. She enjoyed camping but was not always the happiest of campers. She found the love of her life, Rock Pelon, and enjoyed hanging out with his beautiful family. Erica is survived by her son Zander Christian Rogers; Rock Pelon the love of her life; her parents John and Brenda Rogers; brother John (Natasha) Rogers; nieces and nephews Jordan, Mariah, Michael Rogers, and Jerzie Barkovich; and great nephew Bentley Rogers. She was preceded in passing by grandparents Bud and Barb Parritt, William and Doreen Rogers, great-grandparent Rosella Coughtnan, Uncle Richard Anderson, Aunt Arlene Henschel, and a cousin Jon Paul Lebeau. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Kalkaska Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at church.
