Tributes

Corporal Thomas Melvin Clark Sr. of Kalkaska, MI born November 23, 1937, to Melvin and Zelma Clark; went home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on June 23, 2022. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his two beloved children Thomas Melvin Clark, Jr. & Carrey Lynn Fisher, and two precious grandchildren Randy Matthew Kline & Chelsea Ann Kline. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Lou Clark, and their children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great-great grandchildren; his life long friend and brother Philo Clark and dear sister-in-law Joan Clark; his precious sister Nancee Monsees & brother-in-law and friend since childhood Roy Monsees and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He greatly loved his church family at Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. In addition to serving his country in the Marine Corp, he took well deserved pride in his long standing career building many of the areas homes. He taught his family to love the Lord and to Love one another, He spent much of his life taking many young people under his wing teaching them a trade and the love of the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our family would like to say a special thank you for the meticulous and persistent loving care provided to him over the past few years by Mary Jo and Chris Cerginal which allowed him to stay in the home he built and enjoyed so much. Our family rests in the knowledge that as he closed his eyes here on earth that he opened them in heaven to see clearly, for the first time in many years, the face of his savior and heard him say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Evergreen Bible Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Evergreen Bible Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Pastor William Kuiper officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements provided by Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home, our family serving yours.
