Thomas John Belanger was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 11, 1960, to Thomas and Sharon Belanger. When he was eleven, he moved into Lois and Jacob Marshick’s home in Troy, Michigan, where he sided until their passing. He then moved into Marshick’s daughters, Susan, and Charles Sanders until his passing on Friday, April 22, 2022, in Kalkaska, Michigan. Thomas has been with the Marshick’s family for over 50 years. He was truly part of the family. Most of all he really loved Star Trek, going on trips, and going to Grand Traverse Industries, in Mancelona. He loved everyone he met, and everyone loved him as well. Thomas was always smiling. He is survived by Susan (Charles) Sanders of Kalkaska, Kim (Alan) Spence of Kalkaska, Jacob (Brittney) Marshick of Capac, Ray Marshick of Capac, Raymond (Debra) Marshick of Lewinston, Karen (David) Gizinski of Fraser, Kelly Carter of Paducah, Kentucky, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We would like to thank everyone at the Eden Center in Kalkaska for the care and compassion they gave Thomas to the end.
