Mary Florence (Thiel) Comstock, age 61, of Rapid City, MI passed away in her home on August 1, 2021, of natural causes. She was found deceased by her beloved, William Lewis Comstock, Jr. Mary was born on December 4, 1959, in Saginaw, MI to Donald Francis Thiel and his wife, Ila Ann (McKinnon) Thiel. After graduating high school she married and bore two daughters, April Rose (Konieczka) Ni’Mary, and Lisa Kay (Konieczka) Ratner. Mary was a dedicated and loving mother whose warmth and care extended beyond her own children to any child in her presence. She took joy in the antics of pets and children, and spent her life enjoying the simple pleasures of beautiful sunsets, summer boat rides, good food, close friends, music, and dancing. She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Ila, sister Sheryl Ann, and brothers Vaughn and Mark. She is survived by her siblings Dawn, Lynn, Julie, Ross, Yvette, and Karl as well as her daughters April and Lisa, her dearest niece Nadeia, three grandchildren, and a profusion of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as an abundance of friends. Mary’s ashes will be distributed to her family to scatter to the earth, waves, and wind in places which were precious to her. Memorial service will be held in her honor at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home on Saturday August 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Guests are invited to speak briefly in eulogy during the service.
