    Mary Ann Champney

    August 31, 1934 - January 20, 2018

    Mary Ann Champney, 83, of Rapid City, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Meadowbrook in Bellaire. She was born on August 31, 1934 in Detroit to the late Frank and Martha (Jensen) Perkins. Mary Ann married Wayne W. Champney on July 8, 1977 in Westland. Mary Ann was a registered nurse and upon retirement moved to Rapid City. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling and belonged to a quilting club. Mary Ann was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Tom (Debora) Naguy of Dayton, Ohio, Karen Sedgewick of Rapid City; step-sons Bob Champney of Washington, and Ron Champney of Westland; grandchildren, Ben (Rachel) Naguy, Joe Naguy, Emily Meredith, Tim Meredith, Mike Sedgewick, Jr., and Jimmy Sedgewick; and great-grandson, Oliver Sedgewick. Mary Ann was proceeded in death by her husband, Wayne; son’s Louis Naguy and James Naguy; granddaughter, Stephanie Carriveau; and her only sister, Karen “Connie” Stice. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21st at 2:00 pm at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Pastor Eric Black of St. Paul Lutheran Church will be officiating. Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home, our family serving yours.
