Lois Evelyn Ziegler, age 65, of Rapid City, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Generations Cherry Hill Haven of Kalkaska. She was born on April 8, 1948 in Walled Lake, MI to the late Earl and Mildred (Vires) Lawson.Lois married William “Billy” Ziegler on November 6, 1976 in Union Lake, MI. She cherished her children and loved being a homemaker. She also had a passion for cooking, sewing, painting, reading and debating politics. Those who knew her and loved her will miss her larger than life personality, her love of family and will always hear her beautiful singing voice.Lois is survived by her devoted husband of almost 37 years, Billy; her loving children, Justin M. Ziegler of Rapid City and Jaime (Peter) Baumhart of Chicago; her cherished grandchildren, Hailey Mae Phillips, Lawson Michael Ziegler, and Aidan Scott-Thomas Ziegler; and her dear sister, Shirley Wolfe of Brighton.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Linda Phillips.Visitation for Lois will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
