Edith Marie VanAmburg, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on April 5, 1925 in Rexton, the daughter of the late William and Pearl (Kill) Sherlock.Edith married Elmer J. VanAmburg on May 8, 1946 in South Boardman. She worked at Morgan Canning Factory in Traverse City for many years retiring in 1969. Edith also worked at the Kal-Ho. Surviving Edith is her children, Anna Mae (David) Bell of Kalkaska, Jimmey D. (Patty) VanAmburg of Port Charlotte, Florida, Janet M. (James) Johnson of Saline and Ruth I. (Donald) Murden of Kalkaska; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandson; her siblings, Inis Brooks of Kalkaska, Clifford (Maurice) Sherlock of Hawkins, TX, Theresa Schults of Wellston; and many adopted grandchildren.Preceding Edith in death was her husband; and her siblings, Neva, Orvall, Evart, Wayne and Grover.Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14th from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home, our family serving yours.
