Patricia Ann Stanton, of Kalkaska, went home to the Lord on February 10th, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on May 18th, 1942, in Mount Clemens, MI to the late Aloysius and Malvine (Paternoster) Urbin. Growing up in East Detroit, Pat attended St. Veronica Grade School and graduated from Regina High School, a Roman Catholic Preparatory School for girls in 1960. In 1976 she married the love of her life, Frank Stanton and entered into a blended family with children that she loved like her own. She retired from the Ford Motor Company in Detroit in 1998 and retired in Northern Michigan on Big Twin Lake in Mancelona. Patsy, as affectionately called by family and friends, was a philanthropist. She spent a great deal of time volunteering at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona. Adopting children at Christmas time, donating blood, clothes and food to people less fortunate than her. She taught so much of this compassion to the people around her and became a symbol of charity. She enjoyed traveling and being connected with family. Patsy was the family glue. She cherished these relationships and appreciated every single sibling, child, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew and cousin. She often took trips to Canada to see old school mates, Belgium to see family and back and forth to Detroit for the grandchildren's special events. Pat loved to be around people, whether it be her friends and family or a stranger she just happens to meet. It didn't matter what walk of life you came from; you were always good enough to be in her company. Patricia is survived in death by her brothers Thomas (Gayle) and Mark (Sharon) Urbin. Her nephews Matthew, Travis and Ryan Urbin. Her dear sons-in-law Michael Wojciehowski (Annette) and Fredo (Susan) Giulianelli. Her six grandchildren Robert Stanton, Kaci Stanton, Scott Stanton, Nicole Stanton, Joshua Wojciehowski, Jeanette Wojciehowski, Anthony Giulianelli and Jacob Giulianelli. She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Malvine (Paternoster) Urbin. Her nephew Michael (Julie) Urbin and her children Annette (Michael) Wojciehowski, Michael Stanton and Susan (Fredo) Giulianelli. A Mass in celebration of Patricia's life will be held, Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, 438 County Rd 612 NE, Kalkaska, MI 49646 at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass, immediately following the mass there will be a memorial luncheon. Donations can be made to the Capuchin Services Center of Detroit, MI. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Cemetery.
