Mark Anthony Wojcik, 53, of Kalkaska, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Bellaire. Mark is the son of Joseph and Joan (Allore) Wojcik.Mark married Barbara Neil on October 10, 1987 in Lexington. Together they moved to Kalkaska in 2002. Mark was a car painter by profession. His hobbies included restoring wood cars, fishing, hunting, and putting model cars together. Bart 37, the little Ford Tudor Sedan, born on January 2014, was the cultivation of Mark’s infamous “The Elves and the Painter” group.Surviving Mark is his wife, Barb; his children, Robert (Kristel) Luhouse of Carsonville, Amanda (Todd Shumacher) Wojcik of Deckerville and Mark Wojcik II, of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Lukas, Logan, Taylor, and Lincoln; his father, Joe and Rita Wojcik; his mother, Joan Warner, father-in-law, Bill and Kathy Neil; siblings, Monica (Jim) Innes, of Lansing, Joseph (Tammy) Wojcik of Sterling Heights, Denise (Chad) Wolf of Deckerville, Raymond Wojcik of New Jersey, Teresa (Dave) McIntosh of Rochester Hills and Lisa (Jeff) Farley of Croswell; and several nieces and nephews.He will be sadly missed the elves, The Mikes—Nickels, Lutz, Hamilton, Bud Ingram, Jack Tokie, Paul Barrett, Jann Hines, Jerry Baker, Dan Nickels, James Ash, Randy Sprague, Don Dezenski, Tom Calkins, Brian Amato, Pat Bearss, Clarence Smith, Mary Caskey, Jim and Nancy Whyte, Josh Rubin and Dave Burrows; his childhood friend, Lance Jensen; and many old and new friends.A special thanks to all the staff of Meadowbrook Nursing Home. Mark was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Alice Roth; his brother-in-law, Frank Rottman; and niece, Beth Igelski.Celebrating Mark’s life will take place on Saturday, March 21st at 1:00 pm at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor Kim Hough will be officiating from the Garfield Country Church.In lieu of flowers, the family has a planned project at Meadowbrook and would appreciate memorials payable to Barbara Wojcik, 106 S.
