Linda Karen Ames, 70, of South Boardman Michigan passed Tuesday evening, October 8th, peacefully and pain free with her loving family surrounding her. Linda was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Jerry and Melva Robinson. She had very fond memories of growing up in a family of 9 kids. She was a tomboy who loved climbing trees and was known to outrun almost everyone in the neighborhood. When she 14, her family moved to East Carondelet where she met her future husband, Charles "Chuck" Ames. Chuck was in the United States Coast Guard and stationed in St. Louis, Missouri when they met. They married and had their first child, Jerry Richard. They eventually moved to Chuck's hometown of Erie Michigan, and they had their second child, Michelle Louise. After raising their 2 kids, Chuck and Linda moved to northern Michigan where they enjoyed watching their precious grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Linda started working with Arnold's Amusement and spent many summers traveling with them. She loved to see the smiles on the kids' faces. Her great joy was her family. She had a deep bond with her siblings and was always there for them whether they needed a listening ear or a temporary nurse. Her greatest were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each one had a special place in her heart, and she was so proud of them. Our wife, mother and sister will be missed every single day. She loved life and adventures. She loved fiercely and never put herself first. Her peanut butter fudge will never be matched, and she will never be forgotten. Our hearts rest easy knowing she is pain free and with God and her family. We love you so much mom! She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Ames. Also surviving are her sisters Lori (Mike) Weber and Cathy Robinson. Her children Jerry (Victoria) Ames, Michelle (Matt) Price, grandchildren Brandon (Jenna) Ames, Nicholas (Paige) Ames, Sidney Ames, Nathan (Mikaylah) Ames and Emma Price. Great grandchildren Claire, Aspen, Rowan, Nolan, Ash and baby girl on the way. She is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Melva Robinson, In laws Charles and Shirley Ames, and siblings John Robbins, Michael Robbins, Donald Robinson, Debra Presley, Lana Garcia, and Lisa Robinson. Thank you to friends and family for all your thoughts and prayers over the last few months. She did not want a funeral so the family will have a party in her honor next spring.
