Laura Marie Weighman, age 76 of Kalkaska, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. Laura was born on March 1, 1939 in Saginaw, to Martin and Reatha (Hill) Bradburn. On April 20, 1957 in Saginaw, she married Peter L. Weighman who preceded her in death.Laura was a member of St. Mary of The Woods Church in Kalkaska, and was involved in teaching catechism there. She was also the past president of the Right To Life of Kalkaska, and also helped with the preschool head start program at Kalkaska schools. She loved to sing to her children and grandchildren, and also enjoyed camping.She is survived by her children: Zachary P (Vickie) of Williamsburg, Peter L. (Tyrene) of Alden, Kathy L. (Jon) Thompson of Red Springs, North Carolina, Martin A. (April) of Kalkaska, Timothy J. (Carrie) of Kalkaska, Mary A. (Brian) Bourne of Kalkaska, Kelly S. (Steven) Adams of Mancelona, Laura M. (Timothy) Blanksvard of South Haven, Gail E. Weighman of Kalkaska, Donald D. of Kalkaska, Tanya G. (Bob) Luark of Rapid City, John P. and Aurora E. Weighman, both of Kalkaska. Also surviving are 39 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and sibilings; Mary Bennett of Rapid City, James (Tina) Bradburn, Walter (Janie) Jastrzemski, Edwina (Rick) Murday, Roxanne Jastrzemski, all of Saginaw. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by both parents, her brother Steve Jastrzemski; brother in law William Bennett; grandson Jacob; great-grandson, Monte; and great granddaughter, Lyn.A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary of the Woods Church in Kalkaska, Fr. Norman Dickson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska with a scripture service to follow at 7:00p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
