Diane Marie (Suvak) Bronikowski, age 71, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 surrounded by her family after a very short battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in Traverse City, Michigan. She was born January 21, 1952, to Andrew and Edna (Trawick) Suvak in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from North Farmington High in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She married Ken Bronikowski on July 27, 1991, and blended their two families together. In April of 1992, they moved “Up North.” Ken and Diane opened and operated a machine shop, C & K Manufacturing, for many years, along with their son, Chris. They closed their shop in 2015 and Diane retired at that time. She enjoyed being retired, which gave her time to care for her great-grandchildren, sew, and make all sorts of crafts. She loved creating paper projects with her Cricut, especially party favors for her grandchildren’s weddings and special events. She altered many wedding dresses and special occasion dresses for both family and friends throughout her life. She had a love of crocheting that continued until her death. Diane held a variety of jobs throughout her life, but her proudest achievement was her large family and all the happy times they spent together. Due to her passion for people and love of sewing, she spent countless hours making PPE for various medical facilities during the pandemic. She also donated her time and talents to create costumes for local schools’ productions. Her love was contagious, and her absence will be deeply felt by everyone who knew her. Diane is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ken Bronikowski. Children, Chris (Lee-Ann) Bronikowski, Rhonda (PJ) Leazier, Mellisa (Ben) Spinella, Rachel (Paul) White Jr., Kristie (Matthew) Wolgamott, Daniel L. Rollins, and honorary daughter, Melissa Tipton. Grandchildren, Zacharey (Becca) Thomas, Justin Thomas, Seth Callesen, Nick Bronikowski, Jacob Leazier, Drew Leazier, Emma (Weslee) Spires, Tyler Spinella, Stephanie Spinella, Paul (Autumn) White III, Michael (Caitlin) White, Grace (Caleb) Szymchack, Alyssah Wolgamott, Jack Wolgamott, Luke Wolgamott, Patience Rollins, and Audrey Rollins. Great grandchildren, Rylan Callesen, Penelope White, Isabelle Szymchack, Cayden Kirby, and Camden Kirby. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda (Ed) Balon, Linda Suvak, and Sherry (David) Santhuff as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear sister-in-law and friend, Kathy Pachota. A visitation will be held for Diane on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska, Michigan. A graveside service and interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska, Michigan. After inurnment, a celebration of life will be held at Log Lake Campground Pavilion, 2475 E Log Lake Road NE, Kalkaska, Michigan 49646. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rachel White the funds will go towards Diane's grandson Paul White III, battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
